frequently asked questions

There’s so much more that goes into a move than just your moving day activities. We know moving is stressful and it’s our job to help! We’ve compiled a moving timeline so that you stay one step ahead.

When should I call a moving company?

Arrow Down

Ideally, the earlier you can contact a residential moving company, the better. While we can often accommodate requests on fairly short notice, we recommend booking your move four to six weeks in advance, if possible. The more lead time you can give, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate your requested pick-up and delivery dates and times.

How will you protect my belongings and home during the move?

Arrow Down

All of our movers are trained to safely move a wide variety of items, from fine china to grand pianos. We also pad and protect furniture and appliances to ensure they stay scratch and dent-free during their journey. In addition, when moving items in and out of your home, we pad and protect vulnerable areas including the doors, doorjambs, carpets, floors, banisters, woodwork.

Do I need to make special arrangements for my pets on moving day?

Arrow Down

Before your movers arrive, you’ll want to make sure your pets are secured in a safe place. Animals are naturally curious and they’re likely to get underfoot. For the safety of both your pets and our movers, we recommend taking them to a safe, off-site location while we load up the moving truck. If this isn’t possible, please ensure they’re restrained and kept away from high-traffic areas.

What if I need to temporarily store my belongings?

Arrow Down

No problem! We have secure storage facility locations throughout the area. If you’re downsizing or aren’t quite ready to move into your new location, we’re happy to hold onto your items for you and delivery them to your new home when you’re ready.
